The Federal Academy for Security Policy (Bundesakademie für Sicherheitspolitik / BAKS) was founded in 1992 as a place of strategic thinking and learning. Its work is practically oriented and interdisciplinary in its approach. The Academy promotes a common understanding of national and international security policy among civil servants, officers, executives, scientists, journalists, key figures from civil society, and experts from abroad.
The seminars at The Federal Academy are further training courses open to high-ranking officials from The Federal and State level as well as experts and executives from business, sciences, non-governmental organisations and partner nations.
