in early 2018, NATO decided to adapt its command structure, and Germany offered to host one of the two new headquarters envisaged. The new Joint Support and Enabling Command will be based in Ulm, Southern Germany, where the Bundeswehr Joint Support Service already runs a Multinational Joint Headquarters. In our Working Paper No.10/2018, Major Philipp Lange discusses the German role in the new Command and points to remaining issues to be solved in the Alliance.
